Denmark Turns to EU Amid Trump's Statements on Greenland
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has reached out to her European allies for assistance following U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks about Greenland. She is touring the capitals of Europe after allocating $2 billion to bolster the island's defense capabilities.
Denmark has asked its European allies to refrain from escalation and to not respond to Trump's rhetoric. According to sources, Denmark has also requested other EU countries to do the same.
During a meeting with the German Chancellor in Berlin, Frederiksen avoided discussing Trump and Greenland but expressed her concerns. She emphasized the need for a united Europe and cooperation to ensure peace and prosperity.
