Attempt on STERNENKO. SBU General Maluk revealed details of the high-profile special operation.


Lieutenant General Vasyl Maluk, head of the Security Service of Ukraine, spoke about the assassination attempt on prominent Ukrainian volunteer Serhiy Sternenko. According to him, thanks to the effective activities of the SBU, it was possible to identify the threat and prevent the tragedy. The Russian FSB also tried to intervene, but Ukrainian special services were one step ahead.
The head of the SBU emphasized that they were able to learn about the plans for the attempt on Sternenko in advance. The volunteer was invited to the Security Service, where his safety was ensured by assessing the risks and providing protection. These details were disclosed at a meeting with media representatives.
Ukrainian special services were able to timely uncover and avert the threat to the Ukrainian volunteer, as well as establish the motives behind this attempt. In addition, Maluk revealed details of another assassination plan that was orchestrated by a Polish citizen.
