The Ukrainian sitting volleyball team won silver at the Golden European League.
The Ukrainian Paralympic sitting volleyball team took second place at the international tournament among men. The competition took place in the French city of Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and involved 5 teams from four European countries.
The Ukrainian players won three matches in the preliminary stage of the competition: against Serbia 1 (3:0), Serbia 2 (3:1), and France (3:0), but lost to Bosnia (0:3).
“27-year-old Ukrainian volleyball player Oleg Plotnytsky announced his retirement from the national team of Ukraine. He wrote that he made a difficult decision but will always be connected with the development of volleyball. Plotnytsky thanked everyone for their support and noted that he always strived for the best for the national team.”
