Mariupol Defender Received an Apartment from the 'Heart of Azovstal' Project.

The Mariupol defender who sustained severe injuries during the battles has received a new apartment from the 'Heart of Azovstal' project. After prolonged rehabilitation, he plans to learn a new profession and start a new life with his family.
During the battles in Mariupol, the defender sustained severe injuries, including a wounded arm, both legs with open fractures, and a body wounded by shrapnel. He was then taken to a hospital, which was later destroyed by Russian air bombing. Fortunately, all the wounded were evacuated to 'Azovstal'.
On May 17, the defender was captured along with other fighters. He returned home after a swap of severely wounded individuals at the end of June 2022. After that, he underwent several surgeries and prolonged rehabilitation. He is now disabled and has knee problems. But this does not stop him from planning a new life and learning a new profession. His new apartment will be the foundation for this.
I express my great gratitude to Rinat Leonidovich and the 'Heart of Azovstal' project for the help and support. The apartment and the remaining issues that 'Heart of Azovstal' helps with - it's just wonderful. It's super.
The new apartment will become the home for the defender, his wife, and his son. This is the first own home for the entire family, which previously lived in rented apartments and dormitories.
The head of the supervisory board of the 'Heart of Azovstal' project, Natalia Yemchenko, noted that they are working on the 'Future' program which helps more than 140 defenders find themselves in civilian life. She emphasized her willingness to share her expertise with all of Ukraine and other organizations.
