Drivers reminded of an important document when traveling abroad by car.

When traveling abroad by car, an international insurance agreement "Green Card" will be required. This is auto insurance for civil liability – mandatory for drivers traveling to other countries. In particular, this document will ensure compensation for damages caused to the life, health, and/or property of third parties as a result of a traffic accident caused by the policyholder abroad.
To obtain a "Green Card" you will need:
- vehicle registration certificate (technical passport);
- Ukrainian citizen passport;
- identification code (for individuals) / EDRPOU code (for legal entities).
Insurance can be arranged in electronic or paper form with insurers who are members of the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIBU) or with insurance agents of an MTIBU member insurer. The status of the "Green Card" certificate can be checked on the MTIBU website.
