TikTok owner plans to create a new artificial intelligence model.

Chinese company ByteDance, the owner of the TikTok app, is planning to create a new artificial intelligence model, for the development of which chips produced by Huawei Technologies will be used. Reuters reports this, citing three sources.
After the US began restricting the export of advanced chips, ByteDance was forced to turn to its domestic market to ensure supply.
The company is already developing its own chips and uses the Ascend 910B for less resource-intensive computing tasks. However, more powerful chips are needed for training artificial intelligence, which can handle the processing of large amounts of data. According to sources, ByteDance plans to use Huawei chips to develop the new model.
A ByteDance representative denies information about the creation of a new artificial intelligence model. Huawei representatives did not respond to requests for comments.
