The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland announces the availability of three types of visas for entry into the country.
According to official information, the system includes a transit airport visa (type A), a Schengen visa (type C), and a national visa (type D).
It is noteworthy that Ukrainian citizens only need a national visa type D if they plan to stay in the country for more than 90 days. Transit airport and Schengen visas are not mandatory for Ukrainians due to the current visa-free regime.
The national visa type D is issued to persons planning long-term stays in Poland for employment, study, seeking asylum, or exercising rights under the Pole's Card. The maximum duration of such a visa is one year.
The process of reviewing documents for obtaining a type D visa usually takes 6 working days. In cases requiring additional checks, the period may be extended to 30 days.
It is important to note that for Ukrainian citizens, obtaining a national visa is free of charge.
It is worth adding that the transit airport visa (type A) remains mandatory for citizens of several countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, and other states, when transiting through international airports in the Schengen area.
Also, as a reminder: Poland plans to launch a new train to the border with Ukraine.
