Military cadets in Ukraine will significantly increase payments: announced amounts.


The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to change the funding system for students of military educational institutions starting in 2025. This information was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense Serhiy Melnyk during a visit to the National Academy of Land Forces in Lviv.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, starting from March 2025, first and second-year students will receive payments equal to the minimum wage, which is 8 thousand hryvnias, with subsequent increases according to coefficients.
Particular attention will be given to senior cadets. For third and fourth-year students, who are equated to contract service personnel, payments exceeding 20 thousand hryvnias are provided.
During a meeting with students, Serhiy Melnyk also emphasized plans for further improvement of the conditions for training and service in military educational institutions.
It is also known that some conscripts will have the opportunity to travel abroad.
