Power outages may return in summer: the reason named.

Electricity deficit threatens Ukraine this summer
National deputy Serhiy Nahorniak reported that Ukraine may face an electricity deficit this summer. He explained that the repair of some energy units will reduce their generation. Nahorniak noted that solar power plants will be able to provide electricity during the daytime, but this will not compensate for the lack of evening generation. Another option to avoid the deficit is to increase electricity imports.
However, 'Ukrenergo' denied rumors about possible power outages in Ukraine. They confirmed the absence of restrictions on electricity supply but urged citizens to reduce consumption. The company stated that information about possible outages is unreliable.
Additionally, the current price limits in the electricity market may negatively affect Ukraine's energy security, hindering the involvement of importers.
Analysis:This summer Ukraine faces a threat of electricity deficit. The reason for this will be the repair of energy units, which will lead to a decrease in their generation. Despite the presence of solar power plants that will provide electricity generation during the day, the shortage in electricity supply during evening hours may still arise. The only way to avoid the deficit is to increase electricity imports. Nevertheless, 'Ukrenergo' refuted rumors about power outages, assuring that currently, no restrictions have been imposed.
Current price limits in the electricity market may negatively impact the energy security of the country, hindering the involvement of external suppliers.
