In Ukraine, a study on granting communities the status of legal entities was presented.


The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine presented the results of a study on the status of a community as a legal entity of public law.
Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Ryabikin noted: 'The issue of granting communities the status of legal entities requires Time. However, even today we can outline the direction and lay the foundation for systemic changes.'
Oleksiy Ryabikin emphasized that the implementation of this initiative will not only fulfill Ukraine's European obligations but will also create a new philosophy of public administration, where the community will act as a full-fledged subject of power.
Directions for Reform
According to the results of the study, a broad package of legislative changes has been proposed, particularly in the field of local self-government, budget and tax legislation, which will contribute to improving the capacity and transparency of communities.
Experts believe that granting communities the status of legal entities will help overcome the Soviet legacy in the local self-government system and adapt it to European standards.
