The government approved the rules for obtaining a permit for contacts with the Moscow Church.

The government of Ukraine has approved a new procedure for obtaining a permit for cooperation with the Russian Orthodox Church. From now on, such permits will be issued by the State Service for Ethnopolicy and Freedom of Conscience (DESS), according to resolution No. 107.
This document establishes that the State Service of Ukraine for Ethnopolicy grants approval to religious organizations or other legal entities for cooperation with foreign banned religious organizations.
The procedure for obtaining such a permit involves filling out an application form, adding the necessary documents, as well as explaining the grounds for granting or refusing consent for contacts with such organizations. The documents are verified using the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Individual Entrepreneurs, and Public Formations.
DESS has the right to cooperate with other state bodies when considering applications and documents, obtaining information, documents, and extracts from public electronic registers from them.
The implementation of the law 'On the prohibition of the UOC MP' will take place soon, after the latest act is received for verification by the Ministry of Finance.
The village of Pidzakharichy in the Chernivtsi region has already appealed to the US government for assistance in their case with the UOC MP.
As a reminder, representatives of the Moscow Church in Ukraine have also filed a statement with law enforcement about filming a cooking show at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, considering it a criminal offense.
Rector of the Open Orthodox University Georgy Kovalenko expressed concern over the emergence of nearly 100 UOC MP parishes abroad, considering it a dangerous trend.
