New Space Policy Directorate in Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has identified three key areas of activity for the newly established Space Policy Directorate. The first aspect is the enhancement of the regulatory framework for the development of the military's space capabilities, aimed at creating an effective policy that will quickly respond to the challenges of war.
The second important direction is technological expertise. The Directorate will seek promising technologies and specialists for integration into the defense sector. They will also collaborate with research institutions and developers for this purpose.
The third direction identified is the strategic coordination of space support for combat operations. The Directorate will partner with international organizations and enter into contracts for the supply of technologies and data, thereby ensuring rapid access to the necessary technologies for the military.
The team of the Space Policy Directorate is nearly formed and will consist of about 20 experienced specialists. It will include various experts with engineering and technical competencies in the fields of space technologies and Earth observation, as well as those responsible for interaction with other participants in the defense sector.
