"Ukrposhta" presented a collectible postage stamp dedicated to the Kraken special unit.


The company "Ukrposhta" presented a limited release of postage stamps dedicated to the active operations unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kraken. This was reported by the press service of the MID.
The special cancellation ceremony of the stamp took place on October 22, 2024, in Kyiv with the participation of the commander of the Kraken special unit with the call sign "Alpha", the general director of "Ukrposhta" Ihor Smilianskyi, and representatives of the Military Intelligence of Ukraine.
The postage stamps depict a special purpose soldier and one of Kharkiv's symbols - the gazebo-fountain Mirror Stream.
The creators of the postal set, released as part of the "Own Stamp" project, highlighted the significant contribution of the "Kraken" special unit in the defense of Kharkiv and the region during the war with Russian occupiers.
The collectible stamp was issued in a limited symbolic print run - 972 copies - the number of days the large-scale war has lasted at the Time of presentation.
Let us recall, "Ukrposhta" officially introduced into circulation a charitable postage stamp "Under the Protection of the Theotokos", which is dedicated to the Day of Defenders and Defenderesses of Ukraine. As noted by the head of the company Ihor Smilianskyi, the image created by the artist Oleksandr Okhapkin reflects the deep connection between Ukrainian warriors and their spiritual patroness. According to the head of the company, 5 UAH from the sale of each will go to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
