Kurakhivska TPP in Donetsk region ceased operations and will be dismantled for the restoration of other Ukrainian thermal power plants damaged as a result of Russia's invasion. This decision was made after the destruction of a bridge through which coal was delivered. Some of the equipment had to be transported by vehicles due to the lack of railway routes. Overall, the dismantled equipment helped restore 60% of the damaged stations. However, the International Energy Agency warns of a potential electricity shortage in Ukraine, especially during cold winter days.
