The Ministry of Economy recorded double-digit growth in Ukrainian exports.


The volume of Ukrainian exports increased by 13.4%
The Ministry of Economy reported that the volume of Ukrainian exports this year reached $41 billion, which is an increase of 13.4% compared to last year.
In 2024, exports from Ukraine increased by 13.4% in monetary terms and by 28.8% in weight. According to data as of December 26, Ukraine exported 129.2 million tons of goods worth $41.043 billion.
Work of seaports - a key factor in export growth
The normalization of the operation of seaports has become the main factor in export growth. The volume of maritime transportation increased from 54.8 million tons in 2023 to 87.2 million tons in 2024.
'Despite all the difficulties at the land border with the EU, this year we exported goods worth $24.5 billion to the EU. This is over $1 billion more than in 2023. And this is over 59% of our total exports this year,' said Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy - Trade Representative of Ukraine.
Ukraine's trading partners
China ($2.3 billion), Turkey ($2.1 billion), Egypt ($1.6 billion), India ($986 million), and Moldova ($935 million) are among Ukraine's important trading partners.
Agricultural processing and metallurgical exports
In the structure of exports, the leading products are from agricultural processing, in particular, the export of sunflower oil amounted to over $5 billion, sunflower meal - over $1 billion, poultry meat - $945 million, sugar - $408 million, and soybean oil - $311 million.
Metallurgical exports are also recovering, with significant export volumes of semi-finished iron products ($927.5 million), hot-rolled products ($802 million), pipes ($577 million), and pig iron ($500 million).
Raw materials and industrial production
Regarding raw materials, significant volumes of exports consist of corn ($4.9 billion), wheat ($3.68 billion), iron ore ($2.75 billion), and soybeans ($1.29 billion). In industrial production, the best indicators were demonstrated by cable manufacturers ($1.26 billion) and furniture ($460.6 million).
Plans for the next year
'Next year, Ukraine will focus on finding solutions for access to the EU market for sensitive agricultural products (corn, grains, meal, honey, sugar, eggs, and poultry meat),' noted Deputy Minister of Economy Taras Kachka.
