USA, Germany, and Russia Conduct Major Prisoner Exchange: Who Will Be Released.


According to American media, Russia, the USA, Germany, and three other Western countries have struck a deal on a major prisoner exchange. The agreement involves 24 individuals.
Among those being released by Russia are The Wall Street Journal journalist Evan Gershkovich, former US Marine Paul Whelan, Radio Liberty journalist Alsu Kurmasheva, and opposition figure Vladimir Kara-Murza. The other 12 Russian political prisoners are planned to be sent to Germany.
On its part, Russia will receive eight of its citizens, including Vadim Krasikov, who was convicted in Germany for the murder of Zelimkhan Khangoshvili.
It is reported that the exchange has already begun according to CNN, but CBS claims that it has not yet happened. Information about the deal is confirmed by a source in the White House.
