The investigator explained how Russia inflates conflicts in Ukrainian society.

Russian propagandists use various methods to undermine the Ukrainian state. One such method is information-psychological operations (IPSO) aimed at dividing society and disrupting mobilization. According to investigator Anatoliy Ostapenko, Russian propagandists create fake materials to discredit Ukrainian military personnel. They post videos featuring faces of people whose photos they found online, with provocative captions on social media. These videos gain popularity. Some of these 'deepfakes' are also published by activists of the Make America Great Again movement. Additionally, Russian propagandists hire Ukrainians to commit crimes and spread propaganda. They manipulate various population groups, including ideologues and people with financial problems. Youth also fall victim to Russian influence as they are offered to join a 'secret organization' and commit crimes. The main goal of all these operations is to disrupt mobilization and create an information space that fosters political conflicts within the country.
Fake videos and manipulations
Russian propagandists create fake videos that are then spread on social media. They pay for advertising and use bots for the rapid dissemination of these videos. Often they fabricate stories that serve to mock the situation. The main purpose of these fake videos is to create the impression that the use of force by Ukraine is a widespread phenomenon that requires a response. However, it is essential to remember the abuses and manipulations caused by such operations.
Manipulating different population groups
Russian propagandists skillfully work with various population groups, using different manipulation methods. They successfully influence society and political conflicts in Ukraine. This is a serious threat to our country.
