Russia and China 'revive' talks on the largest gas pipeline: Bloomberg learned the details.

China and Russia continue negotiations over the gas pipeline through Siberia
According to Bloomberg agency, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian leader Vladimir Putin are set to resume negotiations on the 'Power of Siberia-2' gas pipeline, which aims to economically unite both countries. During their visit to Beijing, they should discuss a higher price for gas than before.
According to the agency, China seeks to establish a price between the gas price in Russia and the tariff at which gas is purchased through the 'Power of Siberia' pipeline. However, discrepancies remain, particularly regarding the route. Russia aims to lay a direct path, avoiding Mongolia, while China prefers an alternative option.
'Power of Siberia-2' will allow Russia to supply more gas and could replace China's expensive imports of liquefied natural gas.
Negotiations on the new gas pipeline have been ongoing for several years, and even the governments of both countries have refrained from signing agreements. The U.S. is also trying to deepen cooperation with Russia in the energy sector, including potential work with 'Gazprom'.
It should be noted that Kellogg named the main obstacle to achieving peace in Ukraine.
Analysis
In the development of modern energy relations between countries, negotiations on gas pipelines hold an important place. In the gas sector, cooperation between China and Russia can be of strategic significance for both countries, and it can also influence the energy policy of the entire world.
