Rada will abolish KRAIL. The gambling regulator voiced its vision.

Bill No. 9256-d, which was adopted in the first reading, provides for the creation of a new state body for the organization and conduct of gambling. According to the head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Danylo Hetmantsev, the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries will cease to exist after the adoption of this law.
The head of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL) Ivan Rudyi, in an interview for "Glavkom", stated that bill No. 9256-d does not provide for the abolition of the gambling regulator. He explained that according to this bill, another body or bodies will be created that will become the successors of KRAIL.
"Replacing KRAIL with a new body will require a transition period of six months. It is worth noting that ensuring state regulation of any sphere is a complex mechanism. Three years of the state body's activity is an insufficient period to assess its effectiveness compared to other central executive bodies. Despite the legislative initiative, KRAIL continues to fulfill the duties vested in its powers," - noted the head of KRAIL.
In addition, the head of KRAIL Ivan Rudyi believes that for the full implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council regarding the countering of gambling addiction among military personnel, it is necessary to make changes to the legislation. He expressed his opinion in an interview for "Glavkom".
