Zelensky Honored the Memory of the Fallen and Called for Unity
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the global community on the occasion of the third anniversary of the start of the Russian invasion. He emphasized that this war is unprovoked and criminal, calling for unity to achieve a just peace. Zelensky thanked all partners for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty.
The President stressed that over the past three years, Ukraine has proven its resilience and gained new friends around the world. He underscored that Ukraine does not believe Russian lies and deserves respect. Zelensky stated that this year should be the start of real peace, but also emphasized that Russia will not gift this peace, and it must be earned 'with strength, wisdom, and unity.'
The President also highlighted the necessity for Ukraine's participation in negotiations alongside Europe and America, the release of captives, and acquiring NATO membership, which is a reliable way to ensure peace. Zelensky called for strengthening cooperation with partners, particularly in the field of defense production, to build up Ukraine's air defense.
The President concluded that February 24 became an unfortunate day for Putin due to the unity of all. He called for further support and unity to achieve peace.
