Biden's policy towards Ukraine and Israel has failed — Media.

Two recent events have shown the flaws in the Biden administration's foreign policy: the operation in Ukraine's Kursk region and the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, likely carried out by Israel, which, however, did not claim responsibility.
It is believed that both of these steps, which have altered the theaters of war in Ukraine and the Middle East, occurred without prior consultations with Washington, notes Russell Berman, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution who previously served as a senior advisor in the U.S. State Department's Policy Planning Staff, for The Hill.
"Regardless of the consequences for Ukraine and Israel, these events are problematic for the implementation of American policy," writes Berman.
Washington has verbally supported Ukraine and Israel and, of course, supplied certain arms, although with limitations. However, the American strategy in these two wars has never been guided by the vision of defeating the enemy, believes Berman. Instead, Washington feared humiliating Russia and consistently insisted that Hamas could not be defeated.
"Managing escalation essentially means that Washington imposes restrictions on the actions of our allies, and our enemies know that the price they will have to pay for their crimes will be minimal. The Kursk operation and the killing of Haniyeh demonstrate that Ukraine and Israel, respectively, refuse to adhere to some of the restrictions imposed by Washington because they want to achieve more than just a stalemate," adds Berman.
The Biden administration has also effectively canceled - by non-enforcement - many of the Trump administration's sanctions against Iran in hopes of reviving the nuclear deal. The result has been that Iran has come closer to nuclear capability than ever before, and it has been able to use revenues from renewed oil sales to fund its proxies throughout the region, which not only wage war against Israel but also attack American positions in Syria and Iraq.
