North Korea conducted tests of a strategic cruise missile.

On Saturday, January 25, a test launch of a strategic cruise missile was held in North Korea, conducted from underwater at sea.
It is noted that the missile testing "sea to land" occurred as part of the state defense capability plan, aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of strategic deterrence against potential adversaries.
The missiles flew along an oval and figure-eight trajectory for 1500 km over 7.5 seconds, then hit the target. It is claimed that the tests did not negatively affect the safety of neighboring countries.
As usual, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un observed the launch. He was accompanied by a member of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party Kim Chong Sik and the head of the missile industry administration Chang Chang Ha.
Recall that recently, South Korean military forces conducted exercises launching a ballistic missile "Hyunmoo-II" in response to North Korea's missile tests.
According to the scenario, the South Korean missile unit launched a short-range ballistic missile "Hyunmoo-II" in retaliation for a missile bombardment by the North Korean army. The missile hit a sea target simulating a North Korean missile installation.
