Preparation for War with Russia: Britain to Build 12 Nuclear Submarines.


The United Kingdom plans to build 12 attack nuclear submarines as part of the AUKUS program to prevent possible Russian aggression. These submarines will have nuclear power plants and conventional weapons. The decision was made within the framework of the military alliance of Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, known as AUKUS.

The construction of new SSN-AUKUS class submarines will also allow the country to expand its industrial capabilities. In the future, it is planned to build a new submarine every 18 months.

The beginning of the construction of submarines is scheduled for June 2. Prime Minister Keir Starmer will announce this news during the strategic defense review. This document will include 62 recommendations to strengthen defense and consider the main threats to the country.
