Cucumbers in Ukraine have sharply decreased in price: producers explained the reasons for the price collapse.

The decline in prices for greenhouse cucumbers continues in the Ukrainian market. Over the past week, prices for this product have decreased due to increased supply, while sales have remained low.
We have to consider the short shelf life of cucumbers, so we do not make significant stocks
Wholesale companies and retail networks buy cucumbers only for immediate sale due to the limited shelf life.
Prices for cucumbers range from 40 to 70 hryvnias per kilogram. The cost depends on the variety, quality, and volume. Over the past week, this has become cheaper by 12%.
Producers are forced to lower prices due to increased supply and low demand. The warm weather in Ukraine contributes to the rapid maturation of vegetables in greenhouse complexes. The increase in supply has also led to a decrease in prices for cucumbers from film greenhouses.
Compared to last year, prices for cucumbers have decreased by 29%.
In May, the prices of apples and grapes continue to rise.
