NYT: North Korean troops for the first time engaged in combat against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region.

According to The New York Times, North Korean military forces have begun military actions together with Russian forces against Ukraine in the Kursk region. During the clash, many North Korean soldiers were killed.
North Korea sent about 10,000 soldiers to assist Russian forces in pushing Ukrainian units out of the Kursk region. Zelensky confirmed the information about the participation of North Korean military in the combat operations and emphasized that this marks a new chapter of global instability.
North Korean troops arrived in the Kursk region via Vladivostok. They were divided into two units - assault and support. Additionally, since the summer of 2023, North Korea has supplied Russia with 16,000 containers of artillery shells and missiles.
This military support from North Korea was agreed upon during a meeting between Putin and Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang in June.
