The Ministry of Health strengthens the forensic examination system.

Health Minister Viktor Lyashko held a meeting with the heads of regional forensic examination bureaus. The main topic of discussion was the funding of institutions, staffing issues, and other aspects of the work of these bureaus.
'We have launched a systemic reform of forensic examination and are already seeing progress: more regional bureaus are involved in the identification process, laboratories have received modern equipment, and the training of interns has been resumed. Our task is to strategically develop the service technically, organizationally, and staffing-wise,'- emphasized Viktor Lyashko.
It was also noted that until 2023, regional forensic examination bureaus were subordinate to regional authorities, but in 2024 all of them came under the Ministry of Health, which facilitated coordination of processes and improved management.
