The ball is in Zelensky's court: The White House set a condition for resuming negotiations.

The U.S. administration is waiting for Zelensky's next steps regarding a peace agreement in Ukraine
The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump believes that the path to a peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine is uncertain and is waiting for the next steps from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was reported by 'Khvylya' referencing the American publication NBC News.
According to the publication, after a recent dispute between U.S. and Ukrainian officials, there was discussion in Trump's administration about the possibility of suspending military aid to Ukraine. At the same Time, according to two senior officials, it remains unclear whether the U.S. president will indeed take such a step and when it might happen.
The conflict in the White House emerged unexpectedly and became 'the complete opposite of what most people expected regarding the meeting'. Dissatisfaction from the American side was caused by the insistence of the Ukrainian delegation to include 'security guarantees' in the agreement concerning natural resources. According to sources of the publication, prior to the meeting, the Ukrainian side insisted on making relevant changes to the document.
'Zelensky was absolutely aware that there would be no security guarantees in this agreement,' emphasized one source from NBC News.
Trump's administration does not know what steps from Zelensky could convince the U.S. president to resume negotiations
White House representatives noted that they do not have a clear idea of what specific steps from Zelensky could convince Trump to resume the negotiation process. Meanwhile, in response to journalists' questions about whether cooperation between Trump and Zelensky is still possible to achieve a 'peace agreement', one of the publication's sources replied: 'I still believe that it is.'
'The ball is in President Zelensky's court. Trump believes that Zelensky should return to the negotiating table, and he should come and fix everything,' highlighted another source close to the American administration.
