Oleg Luzhny, former defender of London 'Arsenal', shared his memories of the team's visit to Donetsk, where they played against 'Shakhtar' in the Champions League in the 2000/01 season. 'Shakhtar' defeated 'Arsenal' with a score of 3:0.

In the early 2000s, the players of 'Arsenal' faced disgraceful hotel conditions in Donetsk. Old Soviet keys to the rooms were unusable, and some players even slept on the floor due to the cramped beds. The restaurant lacked regular knives, which shocked the English footballers. This left an unforgettable impression of the trip to Ukraine.

Luzhny played 110 matches for 'Arsenal' and made five assists. The team won the Premier League (2001/02), won the FA Cup twice (2001/02, 2002/03), and the Supercup of the country (1999, 2002).
