Buying property during the war. The president of the Association of Realtors warned: besides safety, there is another significant risk.

The president of the Association of Real Estate Specialists (Realtors) of Ukraine, Olena Haidamaka, warns that during the war there is a risk of buying an apartment on the side of the Shahed or missile. She recommends checking information about the property in state registries before signing the purchase and sale agreement. It is noted that after the hacker attack on the registries of the Ministry of Justice, the restoration of the registry of property rights took more than a month.
Olena Haidamaka advises contacting professional notaries to verify information about individuals and property in the registries before signing the agreement. She also notes that the rental market in Kyiv has not yet reached pre-war levels, but rental prices are gradually increasing. In addition, Haidamaka points out that the construction boom observed in the western regions of Ukraine may have a reverse effect after the war ends.
