China supports all efforts to restore peace in Ukraine and hopes for a fair agreement.
The Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated this during a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha at the Munich Security Conference, reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
'China supports all efforts to restore peace. We hope for a fair and solid peace agreement that will be binding and acceptable to all parties,' Wang Yi said.
Moreover, he emphasized that China has always supported a peaceful resolution of the conflict based on four principles: respect for sovereignty, adherence to the UN Charter, the use of peaceful methods to resolve disputes, and consideration of the legitimate security concerns of the parties involved.
'China will continue to adhere to these principles and will play a constructive role in the political resolution of the crisis and the establishment of peace,' the Chinese minister assured.
