iPhone was not created by Jobs - who was behind the first Apple smartphone.

What lies behind the myth of the sole creator of the iPhone
The first iPhone revolutionized our perception of mobile phones, but its authorship is often attributed solely to Steve Jobs. In reality, the device was born thanks to the efforts of a whole team of engineers and designers, and Jobs himself initially doubted the project's success.
In the early 2000s, Apple was experimenting with MP3 players and flip phones, trying to expand their capabilities. According to Brian Merchant's book 'The One Device: The Secret History of the iPhone', key figures in shaping the concept of the new phone included iPod 'father' Tony Fadell, engineer Andy Grignon, and vice president Michael Bell. It was they who ensured that the company created something radically new instead of gradually improving existing devices.
SlashGear reports on this.
Steve Jobs did not immediately learn about the idea and initially reacted coolly to it. He was deterred by deals with carriers like Verizon and AT&T and doubts about mass audience interest. A turning point came with a phone call from Bell, in which, after a long conversation, Jobs allowed the continuation of work, resulting in the presentation of the iPhone at Macworld 2007 in San Francisco.
The first iPhone sold millions of units within a few months, and subsequent models - the iPhone 3G, 3GS, and 4 - only solidified that success. By the Time of Jobs' death on October 5, 2011, Apple had also released the iPhone 4S, and he was involved in the early stages of the iPhone 5's development, which was released without him.
It's worth noting that most new iPhones are purchased not for their cameras or innovations, but because the old phone has started to lag, charge poorly, or had a cracked display. Research by CIRP shows that practical reasons are the most common motivators for purchase.
Despite Jobs' significant contribution to the device's popularity, calling him the sole creator of the iPhone is incorrect: dozens of specialists worked on the revolutionary phone, without whom the legendary presentation of 2007 might not have taken place.
We also reported that the first iPhone was presented by Steve Jobs in 2007 as a device that combined a player, phone, and web browser. This presentation marked the beginning of a new era of smartphones and shaped Apple's identity for decades to come.
After checking the information, it turns out that the creation of the iPhone was the result of the collective efforts of a team of engineering and design specialists, led not only by Steve Jobs but also by other key contributors. It was the joint work of each of them that started the great success of the iPhone.Read also
