Western sanctions against Russia have not proven to be as effective as expected. Instead of resolving the conflict, they have only deepened it. Experts have found that certain restrictions, such as those regarding the disconnection of Russian banks from SWIFT, have not been stringent enough, allowing the Russian economy to survive even in difficult times.
'A comprehensive set of sanctions is necessary to succeed in weakening the Russian military machine,' emphasized the expert.
Thus, the lack of strength and effectiveness of the sanctions has not led to the resolution of the conflict but rather to its prolongation. To achieve a real impact, more stringent measures and actions need to be taken.
