Energy, finance, agricultural sector and more: Ukraine will expand cooperation with Japan.


Ukraine and Japan sign a cooperation agreement
The ninth meeting of representatives from the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the Japan Business Federation 'Keidanren' took place in Tokyo. The event brought together around 100 Japanese companies and over 20 Ukrainian companies from various economic sectors.
During the meeting, Ukraine's Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, and the head of the 'Keidanren' Committee for Cooperation with Ukraine, Fumiya Kokubu, signed an agreement to continue and expand cooperation. It was noted that the private sector is the engine of economic development and recovery in Ukraine.
The Minister of Economy proposed that Japanese companies create joint ventures with Ukrainian companies and utilize their technologies and production. She also requested support from the Japanese government in restoring the destroyed production facilities and infrastructure.
Representatives of 'Keidanren' expressed their readiness to support Ukrainian reforms and to assist in the country's recovery through public-private partnerships. They also presented initiatives aimed at addressing the urgent needs of Ukraine and ensuring sustainable growth.
The parties also agreed to facilitate the resolution of issues faced by Japanese companies in Ukraine.
