Possible power outages this winter
This winter, Ukrainians may face prolonged power outages. The first blackouts may occur even at relatively moderate below-zero temperatures.
This was reported by energy expert, co-founder of the Institute of Energy Strategies Yuriy Korolchuk in an interview with 'Glavred' publication.
Power outages may occur, for example, if it's minus 2 during the day, and minus 5-6 at night. That is, when there is a stable 'minus' throughout the day.
If the temperature drops significantly, the situation could worsen. 'If the temperature is minus 10 during the day and even lower at night, power outages could last at least 6-7 hours per day,' noted Korolchuk.
