A 13-year-old child from Odesa was found to have a brain circulation disorder and passed away. His parents decided that his organs could be used for transplantation to save the lives of five people.
The organs were successfully transplanted to needy patients:
- The lungs were received by a 35-year-old mother of five from Mykolaiv region.
- The heart was received by an 8-year-old boy from Dnipropetrovsk region.
- The kidneys were received by a 9-year-old boy from Lviv and a 6-year-old child from Vinnytsia region.
- The liver was received by a 17-year-old girl from Kyiv.
The operation was performed by specialists from various medical institutions.
All patients are currently feeling stable after the operations.
Previously, a similar wonderful act was performed by the mother of a four-year-old boy who passed away. She decided to use his organs for transplantation in children who needed help.
