Payments to Families of Fallen Soldiers — How 15 Million UAH is Distributed.

Relatives of servicemen who died while on duty are entitled to a one-Time financial aid from the state. The amount is 15 million UAH. The funds are paid to the relatives of the defender over a certain period.

You might guess that the amount is too large to be true, but there are no limits on the sacrifices made in the war in Ukraine. The news clearly mentions how these 15 million are distributed among the families of fallen heroes.

Who is Entitled to Financial Aid

The payment of one-time financial assistance in case of death during the state of war is carried out in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. Who and in what shares is entitled to receive the one-time financial assistance is specified in the serviceman's order, if available.

Regardless of the content of the personal order, the right to appoint and receive one-time financial assistance belongs to minor, underage, and adult incapacitated children, the incapacitated widow (widower), and the incapacitated parents of the deceased.

Who Will Receive Money if There is No Order

If the personal order is absent or does not cover the entire amount of assistance, the right to receive it in equal shares belongs to children, the widow or widower, parents, grandchildren, cohabitants, and other family members of the deceased serviceman.

How 15 Million UAH is Distributed Among Relatives of the Deceased

According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the one-time financial assistance is distributed equally among all family members of the serviceman who are entitled to receive it. If one of the aid recipients refused their share, that amount is distributed equally among the remaining family members.
